Biography
Rowan Doucette practices her art making on the lands of the Lekwungen speaking peoples also known as Esquimalt and Songhees Nation. As someone with a colonial heritage she is grateful to live on this land and everyday contemplates her actions in this community connected to the past, present and future.
She graduated with a BFA in painting at Emily Carr University of Art and Design in 2020.
Rowan has a studio where she writes, paints, draws, stares at the wall, and does intaglio and linocut printmaking in otherwise known as Victoria BC.
Her exhibitions have included, Ministry of Casual Living, Open Space, Part and Parcel, and Abkhazi Garden TeaHouse.
